Option B. The same rig and procedural animation, but instead of driving a renderer live, the animation is sampled into a Lottie file in the browser (bones → null layers with keyframes, slots → image layers, blink and page-flip → opacity hold keyframes). A standard format, two MIT players, and the file can be opened and edited by an artist in Glaxnimate (free) or LottieFiles. What you give up: Lottie cannot tint a raster image at runtime, so skin/hair/accessory colours are baked into the embedded images when the file is generated (with a fixed palette this is a build-time export in production), and motion is keyframes, not code — changing a breathing parameter means regenerating files, not editing a number.
